PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING FOR TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD IN VIETNAM FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS
Foreign investors applying for temporary residence cards in Vietnam must follow the following procedures:
I-PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING FOR TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD IN VIETNAM FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS
1- In case foreign investors contribute capital of more than 3 billion VND
Step 1: Establish a business in Vietnam
After establishing the business, the foreign investor shall contribute sufficient capital as registered.
Step 2: Apply for an investment visa
After establishing the business and contributing sufficient capital, the investor shall apply for an investment visa.
Step 3: Apply for a temporary residence card
After being granted an investment visa, the investor shall apply for a temporary residence card.
2. In case foreign investors contribute capital of less than 3 billion VND
Step 1: Establish a business in Vietnam
After establishing the business, the foreign investor shall contribute sufficient capital as registered.
Step 2: Apply for a work permit
After establishing a business and contributing enough capital, the investor applies for a work permit.
Step 3: Apply for a work visa (LD2).
After being granted a work permit, the foreign investor applies for a work visa.
Step 4: Apply for a temporary residence card.
After being granted a work visa, the investor applies for a temporary residence card.
